Benefit Skincare

Emily here for my first post after a long time and I’m so excited to share my new obsession with Benefit’s skincare line. I discovered this by accident really. I didn’t go into Ulta looking for new skincare products, I went in looking for a foundation that won’t make my face look greasy at the end of the day. But after talking to one of the amazing sales people I realized I needed more of a regular skincare routine and something much gentler because my skin was actually overproducing oil after the harsh cleansers I was using and not enough moisture.

Not only are all the products packaged flawlessly but they actually have made a huge difference in the way my skin looks. I’m so glad I finally invested in a nicer skincare line. I first bought the travel kit for $24 which included 2 different cleansers, a night time and day time moisturizer, a toner, and an eye cream. I quickly bought the full sized versions of the Foamingly Clean facial wash and the Moisture Prep toning lotion. I’ll be buying the Triple Preforming facial emulsion as soon as the travel sized one runs out. There are other products in the line that I definitely want to try like the facial sunscreen and facial rehydrating mist.

There are 2 other products from Benefit that I’m loving right now! The POREfessional: Agent Zero Shine as well as the POREfessional face primer, both do an amazing job of keeping me shine free all day! I’m sure you’ll be hearing about those again from me! I definitely can’t get enough of Benefit right now (or their rainbow blow-up Sharks they have on display in store.) Now if only I could decided which foundation I like better!

Harvey Prince: Petaly Noir

Today The Babes have the pleasure of reviewing a new fragrance from Harvey Prince. See what Sarah & Emily have to say about Petaly Noir below and enter to win your own bottle on the Bad Beauty Babes Facebook page!

Harvey Prince Petaly Noir

How pretty is this bottle??

Emily: Petaly Noir is just as sweet and mysterious as it sounds. I have been in the market for a new perfume and I usually go for a fresh scent like Ralph by Ralph Lauren, but Petaly Noir fits my current style perfectly. It’s dark and sexy, but the floral tones bring out a sweetness that’s irresistible. Also, the bottle is super pretty! I loved the packaging and the jewel-like cap. I have loved all of the Harvey Prince perfume samples I’ve received in my monthly Birchbox, and I plan on wearing Petaly Noir for a long time to come!

Sarah: This perfume arrived in lovely packaging and has a delicate, feminine bottle that would look beautiful in anyone’s fragrance collection. When first applied to the skin it has a warm floral, vanilla scent that later devolves into more full-bodied notes of jasmine and orchid (two of my favorite floral scents). What I really love about Petaly Noir is how long-lasting it is. The first time I wore it I sprayed it on around 10am and it lingered nicely for about 12 hours. I love this perfume and I would highly recommend it to someone in the market for a very feminine scent.

You can purchase you own bottle of Petaly Noir here!

Manna Kadar Liplocked Priming Gloss Stain in All of You

Manna Kadar Liplocked

Priming Gloss Stain

All of You

Emily: I’m not usually much of a lipgloss girl, I prefer my brightly colored matte lipstick over a shiny gloss, but I will say that I love this product! I didn’t think the color was going to look good on me, but I have been looking for a good almost-nude lip color and this is exactly what I have been needing! The color on me is a pinkish nude, slightly darker than my bare lips. It’s not super shiny which is why I like it a lot, it’s moisturizing, and stays on for a long time for a lipgloss. All-in-all I’m pleased with this product and with Birchbox’s ability to provide products that I love.

Emily: I’ve received several samples from this brand before and I always love them! This body butter is super moisturizing and is a lovely lavender scent. It’s thick and doesn’t leave a greasy residue like some lotions do.

Sarah: I really love the small size of the Birchbox samples because I can just throw them in my purse & take them anywhere! This one is no exception! It’s an incredibly moisturizing lotion, but it wears very lightly and doesn’t leave a sticky or greasy residue on your skin. This sample has a nice lavender scent, but it is also available in almond, blueberry, pomegranate, lemongrass, coconut, & acai grapefruit.

Sarah: This is a two-in-one lip and cheek stain. I was kind of intimidated by this product at first because I had never used a liquid product on my cheeks, but I love it! On my lips, this stain adds just a hint of rosy color, which is nice when I don’t want to wear a heavy lipstick. On my cheeks, it creates a nice blush that lasts all day! This product kills two birds with one stone and I especially love it when I’m in a hurry and need to finish my look quickly.
