Today The Babes are sharing their favorite skincare products and beauty routines with you!
Emily: My skin has been especially dry this winter so most of the products I’ve been using are super gentle and moisturizing. I discovered the magic of Jergens BB Body over the summer. It smooths out your skin tone on your legs and it makes your skin look so much more firm and almost airbrushed. It also protects mine from the dry heat in my apartment. I usually don’t use a facial mouisturizer in the summer, but in the winter I need to use facial lotion. A few days a week I also use the concentrated antioxidant serum from Paula’s Choice that I got in a Birchbox a few months ago. Just a few drops, before using moisturizer or any eye cream, rejuvenates your face!
Sarah: My ultimate skincare goal is to have blemish free, glowing skin. It is great to be able to leave the house without a shred of makeup on and still feel confident! I begin every morning by washing my face with St. Ives Apricot Scrub. This is a great cleanser! After using it my skin feels fresh and rejuvenated. On occasion, after cleansing, I will use Bath & Body Works’ True Blue Spa Blackberry Face Mask. It was a bit startling the first time I used it because it goes on completely black, but it smells amazing, clears your pores, and leaves your skin looking fabulous! I recently discovered Evologie’s Intensive Blemish Serum and it has made an incredible difference in the clarity of my skin tone! I apply this every morning before moisturizing and it goes a long way to reduce the redness of existing blemishes and to prevent future blemishes from appearing. Aveeno’s Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer always leaves my skin with that healthy glow, which sends me into my day with confidence.

Sarah here! Today I’ll be reviewing a set of lingerie from the XXXtian Capsule Collection by Dita Von Teese & Christian Louboutin.
Dita Von Teese is a burlesque icon. When I discovered her line of luxury lingerie I knew I had to have some for myself. All of her designs are magnificent, but this limited edition collaboration with Christian Louboutin was the one for me. This collection is only available here and for a limited time only. I suggest you get yours before it’s too late!
The collection consists of a bra, merrywidow, garter belt, thong, brief, high-waisted panty, & boudoir dressing gown. I opted for the bra and high-waisted panty. This set is stunning. It absolutely lived up to my expectations in every way and in some ways exceeded them. The fit and construction of these pieces are superb. It is one of the most comfortable sets that I own, but it provides an incredible sense of glamour. The toile print was designed by Louboutin and features playful images of Dita Von Teese performing some of her most well known burlesque acts. The set features red velvet bows with large, red Swarovski crystal details and luxurious French lace. The only complaint that I have is about the ordering process. Since the set is only available online from a French retailer, the shipping cost was rather a lot and in addition that I had to pay a large fee when the package arrived at my door. I was not prepared for this additional cost so that’s just something to look out for when ordering from foreign retailers. However, aside from the additional cost, the ordering process was pleasant and the package arrived quickly. This is now my most prized set of lingerie and one of my absolute favorites to wear. 🙂
Check out what treasures The Babes found on their latest trip to the thrift store!
Emily: This floral crop top from Target has really pretty delicate lace short sleeves which is one of the reasons I love it to much. It’s flowy and looks great tucked into a skater skirt or worn untucked over a pair of jeans. I needed a pretty top that I can wear casually, but still look nice and this $3.99 top is perfect!
Emily: I almost never wear brown but the carmel color of this beautiful Ralph Lauren sweater is something that I am definitely embracing. It’s thin, and fitted, and incredibly soft. The buckles on the shoulders add an irresistibly edgy twist to this classic sweater that I could not pass up for just $4.99. I am so excited to wear this with my super high waisted jeans and my carmel leather loafers or brown healed boots.
Emily: I’ve seen mugs like this on the internet before and when I saw it while strolling past the mug section at Goodwill, I didn’t think twice. I instantly grabbed it. For $.99 this mug is a perfect addition to my mug collection. It brings me back to my childhood bedroom with my Britney Spears poster over my bed and singing “Oops I did it Again” to my family over and over and over again.
Emily: This sparkly flamingo lamp was originally priced at $5. I knew I didn’t want to spend that much on a lamp if it didn’t work, and I’m always skeptical about buying anything electric from a thrift store. So, I tried plugging it in to an outlet I saw and I was right, it didn’t work. I decided to ask the cashier about it while we were checking out, I was very polite and I asked if there was any kind of discount she could give since it doesn’t work and she gave it to me for $.99! It is such a fun addition to the pink accents in my living room!
Sarah: I’m a sucker for stripes and nautical style so I’m always on the lookout for pieces like this when spring is around the corner. This Gap sweater is cream with navy blue stripes and has fun accents of neon yellow around the collar and cuffs. It was a steal at just $3.99! I plan on styling this sweater with a navy blue skater skirt or jeans and a fun statement necklace!
Sarah: This cape is a bit more vintage and bohemian than my typical style, but it was too cute to pass up. The body of it is a lovely brown tweed and it is accented with small panels of floral print. The big buttons are charming and the waist tie creates a very flattering silhouette. This piece was also just $3.99 and I plan to style it was skinny jeans and knee high brown boots.
It’s been so cold and dreary here in Ohio and what better way to fight the snow (besides staying inside and drinking tea) then to cheer up your day with a little glitter!
This week I painted my nails with Urban Outfitters “Chilly” which has heavy purple and blue glitter in a clear polish. I did a subtle accent nail by painting purple, American Apparel “Dynasty,” underneath 2 coats of the glitter, as opposed to 3. I loved the way this turned out and the name of the polish is extremely fitting for the weather outside!
